Where each subject comes from
Each entry starts from a dream recorded by a human contributor in a Portuguese-language dream archive maintained since 2009. Subjects are never chosen by software.
What is done with it
The entry is translated, adapted to the words English-speaking readers actually use, and expanded with the interpretations that are well established for that symbol. AI tools are used in drafting and in illustration. Every page is reviewed by an editor before it is published. Illustrations are AI-generated and are labelled as such.
Tradition versus folklore
Readings with no factual basis (for example, “losing a tooth means a death in the family”) are presented as popular belief, not as fact. When an entry says what a symbol means, it also says whose belief that is.
What this site is not
Book of Dream is not medical, psychological or financial advice, and it does not predict the future. If a dream is distressing or keeps coming back, talk to a health professional.
Who signs the entries
Book of Dream is edited under the byline Rowan Meade. Rowan Meade is a pseudonym, declared as one. No credentials are claimed for it, and no photo is used.
